Re: Troy Davis
Troy Davis is dead, killed by the state of Georgia for a crime he may or may not have committed. Regardless of his guilt or innocence, one thing is certain about the world in the wake of his execution. There is no greater justice in the world now, than there was before. No brighter light, no stronger law, no greater good. No murdered father has been returned, no hurts healed, no pain salved....

Why Batwoman #1 is great: a reason for every year...
dcwomenkickingass: It’s here. Finally. The first issue of Batwoman arrived in stores and on digital devices today. After six long years of development, a run in Detective Comics and a “0” issue from almost a year ago, Batwoman has finally kicked off her series. How was it? Pretty damned great. Why? Here are six reasons, one for every year it took to get to this moment. (That’s the variant cover...

These boys and girls, more than 7000 of them, had all taken IQ tests at the age of ten, so he was able to sort out the bright...

matthewclan: My pastor, Dr. Steven G. Williams, delivered this sermon today, 11 September 2011. Matthew 18:21-35 I know the historic significance of this day, and in some ways I felt I should preach about it. But on another level I felt enough has been said, that I don’t need to add my words to the mix…. Absolutely perfect. I can’t think of a better sermon to deliver on this...

gregstevens: ‎”Gay people who want to marry have no desire to redefine marriage in any way. When women got the vote they did not redefine voting. When African-Americans got the right to sit at a lunch counter alongside white people, they did not redefine eating out. They were simply invited to the table… We have no desire to change marriage. We want to be entitled to not only the same...
