Sometimes you hear something happening nearby and the imagination just leaps in response, leaving you with a little piece of writing that has no obvious destination but is amusing at the time. A line of dialogue, perhaps, that makes you say to yourself “Now that’s what they said, but what if — “

I have so much love for this. I wish I could write like this.
